Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Specialist to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and marketing for the Coating industry, maintaining current market share in existing customers, growing and developing new customers to increase market share, and reporting on current market developments while maintaining routine visit reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and ensuring the profitability of the business line (BL).
  2. Developing and implementing business plans to expand market share.
  3. Reviewing customer requirements and creating tailored business proposals.
  4. Analyzing sales records to identify market trends and other relevant market developments.
  5. Managing credit and payment issues effectively.
  6. Monitoring and managing stock inventories and accounts receivables at agreed levels.
  7. Preparing monthly forecasts, reports, and project updates according to business unit requirements.
  8. Liaising with Supply Chain management to ensure optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery.
  9. Willingness to travel nationwide independently.
  10. Familiarity with the Coating industry.
  11. A firm grasp of costing/margins and sound negotiation skills with suppliers and customers.

Requirements:

  1. Prior working experience of a minimum of 3 years within the Coatings related industries.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any related field.
  3. Demonstrate good working knowledge and understanding of the business and industry.
  4. Demonstrate basic research and analytical skills.
  5. Demonstrate proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  6. Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken.
