Job Description

This role involves managing end-to-end payroll operations for Japan and China, ensuring seamless execution of tasks within set service level agreements. Key responsibilities include handling data for new hires, employee status changes, terminations, and generating HR and payroll reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of Global HR Strategy
    • Leading the EBSC Malaysia HR team function, supporting and maintaining infrastructure, systems, and processes in line with company standards and legislations.
  • Delivering Operational Excellence
    • Partnering with country HR, Corporate HR, and other functional teams to deliver operational excellence of HR solutions.
  • Process Improvements
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvements as part of key global HR projects.
    • Delivering regional payroll solution requirements, time and attendance, and statutory processing to maintain compliance with legal, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensuring accurate and timely centralized reporting for personnel costs management and forecast initiatives.
    • Supporting the execution of Global Process Ownership for processes as defined and assigned by the Corporate HR office.
    • Driving success through working with peers and team-mates across geographies on common ways of working, process improvements, and initiatives.
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvement through process efficiency and/or automation.
    • Partnering cross-functionally to address operational requirements and compliance.
    • Key team member in automation initiatives for the Function as assigned by the Corporate Office.
    • Partnering with and influencing required business partners to drive process, systems, and organizational changes successfully.
    • Continuously meeting the target of delivery of a comprehensive set of performance metrics.
    • Investigating and resolving complex issues that arise regarding policies, processes, and practices.
    • Key point of contact to execute HR processes transition to the EBSC - Malaysia HR team.
    • Delivering excellent HR customer service and operational excellence to regional HR customers, monitoring inquiries, and internal customer satisfaction, and providing escalated support as needed.
  • Compliance and Audits
    • Ensuring all service delivery in full compliance with all audits, certification, HR policy, and Employee Handbooks as related to processes and services delivered in the EBSC - Malaysia HR.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education
    • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in any related field. Additional HR qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Experience
    • 5 years of experience in HR Shared Services environment, with a focus on managing end-to-end payroll operations for Japan and China.
  • Language Skills
    • Must be able to speak, read, and write in Japanese. Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Japan payroll experience. China payroll experience will be advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Workday and Global View SAP system is advantageous.
  • Leadership Skills
    • Having team lead experience will be preferred.
Estimated Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of RM 120,000 - RM 180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
