The candidate application data is stored on the career site servers and transmitted en-mass to the Workday tenant when the user clicks submit on the last step. Once submitted, we send POST requests with the data to multiple REST end-points, returning the job application to the Workday tenant. The system will terminate or clear out after 60 minutes of inactivity for records not submitted back to Workday.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to collaborate across Flow Control's organization, providing support to the Asia Pacific Sales and Service Team. This position is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • To manage inquiries, ensuring quotation proposals made are technically and commercially acceptable by the sales team according to company strategy and policies within due date.
  • To support Sales & Service Order Commercial (Contract Terms & Conditions, Contract Policies, Approval Grid Awareness, Trade Finance Policies, Finance Policies, and Systems Implementation/Release Support).
  • To assist the Distribution Channel on CPQ systems, establish processes for quotation and order handling with distributors.
  • To be responsible for products, Quotation tools & software training of new staff and/or agents and upgrading of existing staff in AP.
  • To optimize Sales & Service Work Processes and maintain a good filing system for proper records.
  • To support Sales and the Distribution Channel, managing complaints and issues affecting customer orders, liaising where necessary with sales, service, finance, and operations to resolve order issues.
  • To prepare and analyze the monthly report (Order Booking, Backlog, Packed Not Delivered & Net Sales Forecast) for better Sales & Service Target Achievement.
  • To work cross-functionally to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • To provide timely responses to customer queries & requirements.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • University degree level.
  • Minimum relevant experience required: 2-5 years.
  • Good experience in leadership.
  • Good knowledge of operation processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of Valve, Control valve Sizing, Flow control principles along with Valve Automation including Actuators & Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of CRM/SRM is an added advantage but not a requirement.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
  • Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous working attitude.
  • Positive attitude, highly motivated, and a team player.
  • Experience with Salesforce system, M3, SAP, or IScala system would be an advantage.
  • Well aware of international delivery & Incoterms.
  • Analytical thinking & good organizational skills.
