Senior IT Application Support Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to join our team as a Senior IT Application Support specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support to the team, as well as driving the delivery of business projects with effective system planning, procurement, development, and project implementation at agreed timelines.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in IT application support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Drive the delivery of business projects with effective system planning, procurement, development, and project implementation at agreed timelines.
  • Manage system integration testing (SIT) and review user acceptance testing (UAT) test scripts.
  • Implement changes to application objects to ensure system integrity.
  • Evaluate compliance to internal control and standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Promote SDLC documentation for new systems/enhancements according to GIS guidelines and procedures.
  • Address audit findings by executing corrective & remediation measures with relevant parties within deadlines.
  • Oversee daily project activities, including timeline tracking, monitoring project status, issues, risks, and change requests to ensure projects meet goals and scope.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge of banking applications or related retail banking applications.
  • Experience working with Middleware like SOA and AMLA iMatch systems is an advantage.
  • Project managed the implementation of banking or related financial application systems.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and supporting banking applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project managing the implementation of IT application systems.
