About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anti-Illicit Trade Operations Manager to join our team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in conducting and managing investigations, as well as strong relationships with local and regional law enforcement agencies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct investigations through external service providers, setting clear objectives and methodology.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage service providers in a manner consistent with all legal requirements and company policy.
  • Enhance and develop relationships with law enforcement, other government agencies, and JTI markets.
  • Support local market and AITO regional teams in impacting the overall illegal trade and prevention of diversion and smuggling of JTI genuine products.
  • Organize illegal trade awareness sessions for law enforcement agencies as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum 2nd level education but a University degree in business, economics, law, or other related fields would be preferred.
  • Good report writing and computer skills are necessary; experience in investigative/law enforcement operations/management or similar experience in private industry is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting and managing investigations in public and/or private sector or in legal support services or the ability to demonstrate comparable business experience.
  • Experience in working effectively with local and regional law enforcement and intelligence agencies or the ability to demonstrate comparable business experience would be beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and second language (local dialect and Chinese).
