Job Description

PWM (PET WORLD INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD) is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the successful management and growth of key accounts.

About the Role

The position involves leading a team of Sales to promote and market products to key customers and corporate customers, as well as maintaining and expanding company relationships with existing key customers and corporate customers. This includes soliciting new business with prospective clients and developing and implementing business development strategies to support the growth of the company.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics and consumer behavior, as well as modern trade experience. They will be able to interact successfully across cultures, meet tight deadlines, and allocated monthly sales targets. A valid B License and possession of own transport are also required.

The selected candidate will possess good time management skills, prioritization skills, multi-tasking abilities, and work independently as a self-starter. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of Sales to promote and market products to key customers and corporate customers.
  • Maintaining and expanding company relationships with existing key customers and corporate customers.
  • Soliciting new business with prospective clients.
  • Developing and implementing business development strategies to support the growth of the company.
  • Analyzing market needs, developing account strategies, and conveying to chief responsible personnel.
  • Proposing new products to clients using data sources to prepare and conduct optimum presentations.
  • Managing a set of strategic regional and national customers efficiently by delivering a profitable volume through superior customer service.
  • Managing customer needs on a corporate-to-corporate basis for chain outlets.
  • Managing account/outlet operations and executing excellence with proper detailed planning within budget/resources.
  • Working with Brand/Channel/Pricing/Market Research teams to strategize promotion plans for key customers.
  • Conducting market visits/route rides for marketplace opportunities.
  • Increasing accounts revenue and identifying fresh business opportunities adhering to the given budget structure.
  • Maintaining client relations to build an excellent reputation for service and produce repeat business.
  • Developing relations between the company and clients to ensure quick response to identified problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Modern Trade experience.
  • Required language(s): Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to interact successfully across cultures.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and allocated monthly sales targets.
  • Valid B License and possession of own transport.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Good time management skills, prioritization skills, multi-tasking abilities, and work independently as a self-starter.
