Main Responsibilities

  1. Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and recommend methods for maximum utilization of production equipment and personnel.
  2. Design and procure production tooling, processing equipment, and workstations to optimize production efficiency.
  3. Coordinate layout and workstation move activities to ensure smooth production operations.
  4. Prepare time estimates for proposed projects and evaluate time factors to ensure accurate project planning.
  5. Minimize changeover time by implementing common set-ups and procedures.
  6. Verify that machine maintenance is performed on schedule to prevent downtime.
  7. Reduce machine-generated scrap by monitoring machine management data and taking corrective action to improve or correct operations.
  8. Reduce manual assembly scrap by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action to improve or correct operations.
  9. Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
  10. Ensure adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  11. Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
  12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  6. Able to implement continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
  7. Good communication skills.
  8. Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills.
