About the Role
As a Senior Executive /Assistant Manager, Finance and Account, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our company. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing a Group of Companies' full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in managing a Group of Companies' full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  2. Perform month-end closings and prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  3. Assist in monitoring and reviewing departmental variance reports, bank and suppliers' reconciliation, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
  4. Assist in analyzing budget, cash flow, project analysis, and other related analysis to inform business decisions.
  5. Prepare management reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  6. Prepare audit schedules and manage auditors during annual audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Work with the team to maintain the accounting system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  8. Ensure all petty cash transactions are recorded properly, and assist in the submission of related taxes to the Customs Department of Malaysia.
  9. Ensure compliance with local regulations and requirements, as well as with Accounting Standards.
  10. Review monthly reconciliation and reports prepared by subordinates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  11. Assist in verifying payments and invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy of documents.
  12. Monitor cash reserves and ensure sufficient cash in hand to support daily expenses.
  13. Assist and perform all ad-hoc assignments as and when assigned.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
  2. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA is advantageous.
  3. Registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accounting (MIA) is desirable.
  4. Knowledge in Accounting software.
  5. At least 4-5 years of experience in full set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables and General Ledger).
  6. Strong knowledge in budgeting and financial analysis.
  7. Proficient in data analysis.
  8. A team player with the ability to manage a team and work across all levels within the organization.
  9. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  10. Good analytical skills, result-oriented, organized, detailed, and committed to deadlines.
  11. Action-oriented, innovative, and resourceful with the ability to work independently in a dynamic & fast-paced environment.
  12. Possess problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  13. Computer literate with knowledge in MS Office applications.
  14. Proven experience in consolidations, reconciliation, and IPO requirements.
