Key Responsibilities- Operational Support: Provide high standard of operational support to Banking & Payments Operations team to support the growth of Business in British Isles for multiple jurisdictions.
- Transaction Processing: Responsible for efficient and timely processing of all Banking & Payments products (cheque clearing, BACS & Direct Debits, fixed term deposit, foreign exchanges, account transfers, standing orders) received via Online Service requests.
- Accounting Entries: Process and/or verify all accounting entries accurately and to meet defined cut-off times. Communicate all delays to local management.
- System Updates: Ensure rates are updated in core system upon request and accurate processing of cheque book orders.
- Payment Validation: Validation of all inward SWIFT and BACS payments observing UK payment regulations.
- Account Closure: Process validation of account closure requests, apply interest and making final payment where required.
- Filing and Scanning: Promptly ensure completion of filing & scanning in accordance with Policy.
- Transaction Compliance: Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance to the bank rule, desk top guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Relief Support: Provide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the department.
- End-of-Day Checks: Ensure EOD checks are conducted daily with any outstanding issues identified and actioned on the same day.
- Unreconciled Items: Ensure all unreconciled items and outstanding breaks are investigated and accounted for.
- Client Transactions: All charges pertaining to client transactions and payments are accounted for and ensure entries are processed.
- Issue Escalation: Ensure proper escalation of issues/risks to management.
- Education: Diploma / Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred with minimum 1-2 years of Private Bank or Wealth Management environment experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Communication Skills: Good inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Adaptability: Fast learner for new processing tasks assigned.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge in MS Outlook / MS Word / MS Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong working knowledge in SWIFT, Banking products and International payments.
