Job Description

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Singtel Group as a Strategic Contract Manager. As a key member of the Legal team, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers and partners across various business units.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contract Review and Negotiation

Review and analyze commercial contracts to ensure compliance with Singtel's policies and procedures. Negotiate and draft contracts with suppliers and partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Legal and Commercial Risk Management

Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with contracts. Provide advice on contract-related matters to ensure business units operate within regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with business units, stakeholders, and the Legal team to provide pragmatic and robust legal solutions. Communicate effectively with suppliers and partners to ensure smooth contract execution.

Documentation and Process Management

Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of contracts and related processes. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure organizational memory and compliance.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications

Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia/Singapore or the UK.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years' PQE gained as an in-house lawyer or with a reputable commercial law firm.

Skills

Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law. Excellence in contract drafting skills. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and to meet critical deadlines.
