Cost Management Leadership

Mah Sing Healthcare Sdn Bhd needs a senior professional to spearhead its cost management initiatives. The chosen candidate will analyze costs, improve processes, and collaborate with various teams to reduce costs effectively.

Key Duties
  1. Examine costs associated with raw materials, production processes, packaging, and distribution to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving measures, such as process enhancements, waste reduction, and alternative sourcing strategies.

Pricing Strategy Development

  1. Determine optimal pricing strategies by considering costs, market dynamics, competitive factors, and profit margins in consultation with the Sales department.
  2. Calculate accurate costing for new products and review existing products' costing regularly based on changes in raw material prices, manufacturing processes, and labor costs.

ERP Costing System Administration

  1. Regularly review and maintain the accuracy of the costing system to ensure alignment with standard costs.

Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Generate detailed reports on cost variances, trends, and KPIs and organize regular meetings with stakeholders to address any discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related field is necessary, preferably with experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and costing methods is vital.
  • Experience with integrated real-time ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
