Job Summary

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Lead to join our team at Hunters International Sdn Bhd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Java Developers, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and maintaining high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team of Java Developers on executing projects.
  • Maintaining high-quality products through code review and design reviews.
  • Building high-quality products and contributing to the product roadmap planning.
  • Proposing and implementing solutions using Java, JavaScript, SQL, Spring, Python, and Shell Scripts.
  • Providing guidance to junior developers and suggestions to other colleagues with deep understanding of technology stacks.
  • Proposing better software architecture with the right design pattern at suitable situations.
  • Providing in-depth support to Technical Support Analysts.
  • Working with the front-end team to build high-performance, user-friendly, and stable web products.
  • Solving puzzles from client feedback and logs to find the real cause.
  • Researching up-to-date technology stacks to bring better performance and higher-quality products to stakeholders.
  • Writing documentation for different technologies and knowledge to share among team members.
  • Providing insights for database performance and stability.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Professional Certificates in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering, etc.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in full-stack web development.
  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Shell Scripts.
  • Good understanding and practical experience with Java Web-based application development.
  • Strong Java skills and object-oriented design experience, and design patterns.
  • Experience in using Spring & Hibernate in programming works is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with different source control tools.
  • Good knowledge of microservices is an added advantage.
  • Experience in database performance tuning and query enhancement is an added advantage.
  • Experience in dev-ops relevant tasks is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge on Billing/charging interface/API is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with customers and identify adoption barriers and put forth plans to address these issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done at a high standard.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of Developers/Programmers is a must.
  • Language(s): English, Malay, and Mandarin as the role requires the candidate to deal with Mandarin-speaking clients.
