Job Description

The Director of Events Management will lead our events management team in generating and developing leads for catering segments, including corporate, social, government, and associations. This involves handling negotiations and converting leads into confirmed business.

This role requires someone who is highly skilled in sales, leadership, and event planning. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops catering account portfolios, sales goals, and strategies, ensuring alignment with overall hotel strategy.
  • Leads events management team in generating and developing leads for catering segments.
  • Closely monitors daily sales activities and business productions of each team member.
  • Establishes catering revenue budget and forms accurate forecast to guide events selling strategies and activities.
  • Develops and maintains potential clients' database and ensures proper documentation of account activities.
  • Ensures effective communication and cohesive working relationships within the team, marketing division, food and beverage division, and other departments.
  • Establishes objectives and goals for the events management team, motivating and directing staff to achieve set revenue goals.
  • Effectively utilizes Delphi reports and events revenue management tools to optimize revenue and productivity.
