Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive profitable growth and deliver on customer value proposition.
  • Manage the Engineering and Surety Portfolios, including selection and denial of new and renewal business.
  • Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, customers, and stakeholders to determine insurance-related needs and provide solutions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policy, procedures, and standards to produce profitable results.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy across all portfolios.
  • Accountable for all facultative reinsurance purchases and strategy.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in Engineering underwriting.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and company initiatives.
  • Experience in leading underwriting teams and managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong market-facing presence and industry network.
  • Proven track record of growing a business and change management in a complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated specialized knowledge and expertise in products and industry.
  • Proven track record of driving results and commercial acumen.
  • Strong Engineering underwriting proficiency and knowledge of operational management.
  • Good understanding of the internal and external regulatory environment and requirements.
  • Advanced and in-depth knowledge of products and lines of business.
