Location: [Restaurant HQ/Restaurant] Department: Operation (Halal & Quality Compliance) Reports To: Chief Operation Officer / Chief Executive Officer / Internal Halal Committee Salary Range: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 **What You’ll Be Doing** As our Halal Quality Executive, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that every ingredient, process, and product served in our restaurants complies with JAKIM halal standards. You’ll work closely with kitchen teams, suppliers, and management to maintain halal compliance from sourcing to serving. **Key Responsibilities**: - Ensure all restaurant operations, ingredients, and processes comply with relevant Halal certification standards (e.g., JAKIM MS1500:2019). - Manage the Halal certification and renewal process, including documentation, audit preparation, and communication with authorities. - Maintain accurate and updated halal documentation; including supplier certificates, raw material lists, and production SOPs. - Evaluate and approve new ingredients and suppliers to ensure halal compliance before use in any menu. - Conduct internal halal audits at restaurant outlets and central kitchen, ensuring strict segregation between halal and non-halal risk areas. - Provide halal awareness training for staff, including kitchen, procurement, and operations teams. - Monitor daily operations to prevent cross-contamination and uphold the highest halal assurance standards. - Report and address any non-compliance or potential risks to management, and coordinate corrective actions. - Keep up-to-date with current fatwas, halal regulations, and best practices in the F&B industry. **Education & Qualifications** - Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Studies, Halal Management, Food Science, or a related discipline. - Certified Halal Executive or Internal Halal Auditor (preferred). **Experience & Skills** - Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in halal assurance, quality assurance, or food safety within the F&B industry. - Fresh graduates with relevant halal knowledge with certificate are encouraged to apply. - Strong understanding of MS1500:2019 and the requirements of JAKIM or equivalent authorities. - Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills. - Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding halal integrity in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
