**Responsibilities**:

- Resolve design issues and serve as the liaison between the field and the design office for major design issues. Ensures smooth conversion of engineering into fabrication drawings, provides instructions, guidance on critical issues and effectively interacts with the senior members of Clients and fabrication team.
- Provides leadership for the Field Engineering team and reports to the Portfolio Engineering Manager functionally and administratively to Construction Site Manager/ Construction Director.
- Manage the document management/control group to ensure that the contractors are building to the latest revision of the drawings, specifications, and/ or procedures.
- Refers required deviations from the Issued for Construction documents to the design engineering team only for unavoidable cases.
- Actively participant in constructability reviews and model reviews.
- Ensure that construction is building to the standards established for the project
- Provide as-built drawings (RLM) to the design engineering group.
- Ensures that construction / contractors are employing the latest construction methods and techniques
- Establishes Management of change at site by ensuring implementation of FCN/ARN/DCN
- Implementation of training and development programs for field based personnel
- Facilitate implementation of the field material control system to support the construction effort
- For site related Changes support in preparing construction work packs for the engineering deliverables.
- Recruitment, development and assignment of qualified personnel and/or technical authorities to the construction management teams
- Collate and review project Lessons Learned and submit to Engineering Manager.
- Supporting productivity by optimizing workplace efficiency and resolving field engineering issues.
- Responsible for construction compliance to design documents, technical specifications, project procedures and regulatory standards.
- Facilitating management by interacting with project engineering and procurement to facilitate the timely flow of EPC deliverables.
- Developing and managing project survey control monuments and material volume calculations as required.
- Providing design of temporary construction facilities.
- Material allocation as well as material substitution to manage the site related works.
- Provide field engineering support to Completion group during pre-commissioning and start up activities.
- Coordinate with Completion group to generate any failure report or failure analysis if required.
- Monitors the field engineering manpower, budget and report variances
- For project closeout prepare a detailed report including the material utilization of wastages percentages for various free issue materials.
- Area close out support from Engineering in terms of engineering completion or reissue of documents with HOLDs.
- Construction closeout plan and establish a detailed site closeout checklist in consultation with Construction Site manager and Project Controls Manager
