Position: Business Development Manager

Industry: Freight Forwarding & NVOCC

**Salary**: Based on experience and qualifications

This role is responsible for establishing effective sales strategies, identifying and developing new freight forwarding business opportunities, and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a 6-12 month sales action plan in line with the company’s strategic direction.
- Proactively generate new freight forwarding business opportunities.
- Achieve individual sales KPIs and meet assigned revenue targets.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and solutions to clients, including participation in global and local tenders.
- Schedule and conduct client meetings as part of the sales outreach program.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and updates in the CRM system.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales and business development reports to the direct manager.
- Follow up on and ensure timely collection of payments for assigned accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of freight forwarding services, processes, and industry regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of proven sales and business development experience, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics sector.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment. Resourceful, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong initiative and ability to manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Existing industry contacts and business pipelines will be an advantage.
- Experience in OOG (Out of Gauge)/Breakbulk project cargo is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to coordinate with international partners across different time zones when required.

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Setia Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
