- **Position Summary - the purpose of the job**_

Data governance role is to provide assurance and ensure effective management, quality, security and compliance of company’s data.

The role involves developing and enforcing data management policy and standard to optimize data usage while mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory adherence for the company and its subsidiaries. Act and assist in the development, implementation and execution data management functions which are aligned with company strategy.
- **Key Accountabilities**_

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage the organisation's data governance strategy, ensuring adherence to data management principles and guidelines.
- Establish and maintain data governance framework and policy that aligns with business objectives and goals.
- Oversee and manage data privacy and security measures across the organisation including data stewardship for data loss prevention.
- Lead the development of data quality metrics and establish a monitoring strategy.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and business units to implement data governance requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop data governance awareness program and educate business users.

Organizational Relationships **Reports to: Chief Information Security Officer**
- Direct Reports / Team: 1/2
- Key Stakeholders:
Internal: IT division, Risk management division, Compliance division, Audit division, Business Operations.

External: Vendors, regulators and auditors.
- **Education/Work Experience**_
- Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline Bachelor's Degree or higher in any discipline. Major in information management, data management or data analytics has added advantage
- Minimum 10 years of experience in information technology with at least 5 years in relevant and related to job functions/roles.
- Data management certification will be an advantage.

- Strong knowledge in risk assessment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills including presentation and writing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

**Salary**: RM7,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
