**Job Summary**

The Quality Assurance Executive will be responsible for ensuring that the Food & Beverage manufacturing facility complies with food safety regulations and quality standards. This includes overseeing daily operations, monitoring production processes, ensuring hygiene and safety compliance, addressing product issues, and implementing food safety programs. The role also involves conducting inspections, maintaining records, and liaising with other departments to uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety.

**Daily Tasks**:

- Ensure compliance with food safety requirements across the processing plant, ensuring all regulations are met.
- Inspect incoming raw materials (e.g., vegetables, meat, seafood) for quality, freshness, and adherence to specifications, ensuring no expired items and proper labeling.
- Monitor adherence to production and warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring hygiene practices are followed, such as operators wearing masks, hair nets, gloves, and maintaining proper utensil and equipment cleanliness.
- Verify that all finished goods comply with specifications, including correct labeling, production and expiry dates, proper sealing, and passing visual inspection.
- Address and resolve product complaints and non-conformance issues, coordinating with relevant departments and stakeholders to resolve quality-related concerns both internally and externally.
- Handle non-conformance issues related to raw materials and coordinate with the purchasing team to address these with suppliers.
- Oversee pest control activities in the Food Processing Center (FPC) and outlets, including managing contract services, reporting, and payment processing.
- Conduct daily checks on the temperature of chillers and freezers in production and warehouse areas to ensure they meet required standards.
- Verify records such as Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) from production and the toilet cleaning checklist to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all documentation is current and up-to-date for quality and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the production area, including ensuring there is no accumulation of waste that could attract pests.

**Monthly Tasks**:

- Design, implement, and monitor quality systems and programs to ensure consistent adherence to quality and food safety standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the food safety system, ensuring they are up to date.
- Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure compliance with internal SOPs and liaise with local authorities regarding compliance matters.
- Organize the collection and processing of recyclable materials, ensuring payments are processed and deposited after collection.
- Conduct training sessions for relevant departments to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Update and maintain FOSIM (Food Safety Information Management) records for both FPC and outlets.
- Ensure product shelf life is within specifications, managing product rotation and expiration dates.
- Develop and update product specifications for FPC items to ensure quality consistency.
- Keep the Approved Supplier Record updated to reflect accurate information on approved suppliers.
- Ensure proper documentation and preparation for audits and certifications, such as MESTI (Malaysian Food Safety Certification).
- Monitor and verify that all food handlers have up-to-date typhoid vaccination and food handling certification, ensuring new staff are properly trained.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee general premises cleanliness, including coordinating with contractors to maintain the cleanliness of surrounding areas, such as cutting grass.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with food safety certification systems (e.g., MESTI, ISO).
- Certification in HACCP, ISO 9001, or food handling.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
