**Job Description for Cloud Administrator**

**Summary of Assigned Duties**

The Cloud Administrator ensures proper management, operation, maintenance, and administration of enterprise-level networks and systems to ensure the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of IMT services in WHO.

**General Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support and maintain infrastructure and systems on Cloud platforms provisioned as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.
- Manage and administer the Azure cloud environment, including:

- Provisioning
- Configuration
- Performance monitoring
- Policy governance
- Security
- Assess system configurations, logs, and error messages; discern problems; and initiate preventative and corrective actions.
- Monitor IMT services and take detective, preventative, or corrective actions to ensure system availability, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Resolve end-user and technical issues, ensuring proper operation, maintenance, and administration of:

- IMT systems
- Active Directory
- Messaging and collaboration systems
- Network services
- File and print services
- Server provisioning
- Storage, backup, and recovery
- Maintain standard operating procedures and other relevant documentation of operational systems and services, including a consolidated inventory of data centre assets.
- Liaise with Premises Management services and external providers for management of Data Centre and related facilities in the Global Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

**Functional Knowledge & Skills**
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge of Cloud platforms, Windows server operating systems, and Windows-based network services (e.g., AD, file, print, DFS, DNS).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure technologies and services.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP internetworking and related services (e.g., DNS, WINS, DHCP).
- Strong working knowledge of systems management, performance tuning, and monitoring tools.
- Thorough knowledge of x86-based server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; virtualization; networked storage systems; and backup and recovery systems with disaster recovery expertise.
- Ability to effectively support multiple systems and users, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in complex and changing environments and under pressure.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Creativity in approach to new challenges, both technological and organizational.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Required Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Management, or related discipline.
- Relevant professional training and/or certification related to Microsoft server systems, Cloud platforms, virtualization, networked storage, and backup would be an advantage.
- Interest in furthering professional studies to keep current with changing technologies.

**Experience**
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the information and communications field, preferably in a large international company or organization supporting a large-scale Windows environment and network services, network storage systems, and backup and recovery mechanisms.
- Some experience required in the following areas:

- Cloud platforms administration
- ICT Platform and Systems Engineering
- Systems Administration and Operations
- Network and Telecommunication Systems
- ICT Security Management
- Technical Documentation and Operation

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Cloud Platforms Administration: 2 years (required)
- Linux Systems Administration: 1 year (required)
- Database Management: 1 year (required)
- managing network services and protocols: 1 year (required)
- implementing backup solutions and disaster recovery: 1 year (preferred)
- Aws / Azure: 1 year (required)
