Procurement Executive

**Position Title**:Procurement Executive
**Contract Duration**:6 months

**Salary**:Basic RM3,500-RM3,800 + Transport Allowance RM400

**Working Hours**:8.30 am to 5.30 pm (Minimum 2 days to Work from Office in a week, the rest can Work from Home)

**Working Location**:Menara Lien Hoe, Tropicana, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

**Purpose**:
Manage the procurement specific needs of indirect materials specific in Cold Drinks Equipments / Trade Marketing/ Direct Marketing expenditures / events for SIMA region.

Support procurement team to become fully integrated as part of BI’s world class procurement organization. Manage and execute procurement strategies. Manage supplier relationships to optimize cost competitiveness and drive supplier quality performance. Requires travel to Singapore (25-35%).

**General Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing function includes new supplier qualification, call for tender, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance management
- Sourcing for Indirect categories, supporting Direct Marketing Expenses (DME) and Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) division.
- Expand vendor pool and improve payment term.
- Full involvement and completed sourcing process and documents preparation on time.
- Liaise with suppliers, negotiate the price, and get the quotation from suppliers.
- Actively contribute to achieve cost reduction / savings.
- Proactive engagement with key stakeholders to ensure compliance to Procurement Policy and Procedures.
- Work closely with legal team in contract preparation.
- Supplier evaluation, selection and assessment for the regular product and service require.
- Geographical coverage: Malaysia and Singapore operations.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with Procurement Procedure and company internal policy
- Managing changes and performance through engaging stakeholders and leverage on the expertise available within the Group
- Actively seek out opportunities for improvement, ways to do things better; and lead implementation of actions defined.

**Manage the sourcing process and a cross-functional sourcing team**:

- Define sourcing strategy for each categories and action plan for year-over-year cost reduction.
- Ensure a continuous suppliers market analysis, going out to the market to seek new opportunities -new suppliers, new alternatives, etc.
- Identify, collect, and analyze requester department needs
- Manage tender analysis negotiations
- Ensure a fair process for supplier selection and compliance to internal control requirements throughout the sourcing process
- Monitor performance of negotiations against previous year price, against budget and excellence
- Manage quarterly reviews with key stakeholders and key suppliers

**Supplier management**:

- Define and implement strategy for supplier management to ensure reliability in consistently meeting requirements, quality control and product performance per contract, continuous improvement in cost, quality and service.
- Manage supplier qualification
- Manage supplier performance review and follow-up on improvement actions

**Documentation and reporting**:

- Prepare and follow-up documentation for approval of supplier selection and tender award
- Work closely with Legal in contract preparation and submit for signatures
- Report bottom line savings of families assigned on monthly basis

**Job Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree or Masters preferably in procurement and/or supply chain related field.
- Professional knowledge of procurement practices, supply markets, terms, negotiation concepts and business laws.

**Work Experience**:

- 4-5 years’ experience relevant experience in FMCG/beverage manufacturing environment or any other related field with a strong procurement background in Malaysia.

**Language**:

- English / Bahasa Melayu

**Capability**:

- Ability to interact with all personnel including from other department
- Good and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analyzing data & Information
- Knowledge of indirect spend category in Malaysia, with active participation in procuring role.
