Key Objectives The purpose of the Project Manager role is to manage the delivery of technology projects across the APAC region. This is a “hands-on” project management role that requires excellent organizational and time management skills, an ability to manage competing priorities from a wide range of stakeholders, work with team members located across APAC countries, and expertise in pragmatic and creative problem solving. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential as is experience working with executive level stakeholders. Responsibilities will include developing project schedules, monitoring and reporting progress, coordinating resources, and managing issues, risks and project dependencies, in line with Chubb methodologies and standards. Key Responsibilities - Manage all phases of IT projects to the agreed scope, time, budget and quality from initiation through to closure - Manage and motivate project team resources to delivery assigned tasks and deliverables - Track team progress and identify risks/issues that may impede progress using standups/team meetings - Review team deliverables to ensure they adhere to quality standards/customer acceptance criteria - Develop and maintain project management artefacts eg project charter, schedule, budget tracking, risk and issue logs, status reports, communications plan - Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders - Escalate any issues/risks as required to the project owner - Manage scope change requests to the agreed change control / governance process - Work with cross functional teams to identify potential business impacts of changes and then manage the actions to minimize disruption (eg business readiness activities such as communications, training, implementation planning, support arrangements) - Coordinate necessary end user training including the development of documentation to enable successful implementation of the system/change and enable a smooth handover process - Comply with company reporting and audit needs (local and international requirements) - Proactively contribute to the PM community by identifying continuous improvement opportunities and recommendations based on project experiences/lessons learned Skills & Experience Essential - Degree qualified in I.T. or a related discipline - Project management certification (PMP preferred) - 10+ years work experience in IT project delivery projects/programs including concurrent management of more than 1-2 projects at a time - Experience in full SDLC project delivery with a variety of methodologies ie Agile, Scrum, Waterfall - Managing offshore teams across multiple time zones - Managing vendors/suppliers on/offshore - Experience with a variety of project management tools eg MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Clarity. Preferred - General insurance industry experience Key Competencies Refer to the IT Competency Framework for details of competencies for the role. General areas of performance covered by the individual’s annual goals include focus on People & Culture, Risk, Customer and Profit & financials.
