**Salary Range**:RM 4,500 - RM 6,000 (Based on experience and industry benchmark) (some roles up to **RM 8,000** for premium concepts).

**Overall Job Objectives**

Are you a seasoned culinary professional ready to lead and innovate in the kitchen? INITIA Group is looking for a Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and leading a passionate team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This is a key leadership role where you will ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency across all aspects of food preparation and service.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service standards.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff including Junior Sous Chefs, CDPs, and Commis Chefs to maintain high performance and a positive kitchen environment.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of menus, including contributing to recipe development and food presentation.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, ordering, and vendor coordination to ensure availability of high-quality ingredients.
- Monitor food cost control, waste management, and portion control to achieve budget targets.
- Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring continuity of operations and service excellence.
- Handle performance management and staff training to continuously uplift kitchen capabilities.

**Job Specifications**
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Junior Sous Chef or CDP).
- Strong knowledge of international and local cuisines.
- **Korean cuisine experience would be a plus, but not required.**:

- Proven ability to lead, coach, and manage a team under pressure.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, based on business needs.

- Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional service.
- Drive efficiency in kitchen operations through proper inventory, cost control, and task delegation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
