**Position Summary**:
A Chef De Partie’s role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in a restaurant. Duties includes directing chefs in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and troubleshooting any problems that may arise. You are to ensure the Kitchen process efficiency to achieve a smooth operation at all times.

**Scope and Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Sous Chef to prepare menus, including specials.
- Order, prep, and keep stocked the common ingredients for all cooking stations, including vegetables, spices, etc.
- Follow the guidance of the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of the meals.
- Prepare market list and foods requisition for your section and submit to the Chef.
- Checks the quality and quantity of food received from the market/store.
- Ensure proper preparation of mise-en-place for your section.
- Ensure preparation according to recipes and ensure the quality consistency.
- Abide by and enforce health codes and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Check for plating accuracy (garnish, portion size, correct serving dish etc.).
- Anticipate and communicate shortages to the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
- Inspects storerooms, refrigerators and freezers daily to ensure no wastage.
- Reports all accidents, health and safety hazards to the Sous Chef.
- Train and supervise junior chefs, including in best practices, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are implemented in accordance with established SOP.
- Minimize spoilage and wastage by preparing and storing food items according to established SOP.
- Ensure a clean work section, hygienic work procedures and high safety standards.

**Background and Experience**:

- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as Demi Chef or related role.
- Completion in a food hygiene course.
- Food and beverage knowledge and creativity.
- Ability to read, comprehend, communicate to others, and implement written training and compliance information.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking skill and ability to work under pressure.
- Experienced in customer service with strong guest service, interpersonal and supervisory skills are required.
- Bi-lingual ability in oral and writing will be an added advantage.

**Education**:
Formal training in the Culinary Arts; certificate of completion from a trade school or Diploma/Degree in Culinary or Equivalent.

**Additional Information**:

- Malaysian.
- Fully vaccinated.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings & weekends to support park operations.

License/Certification:
