Managing Director
- Malaysia is responsible for handling the full sets of business functions for the local office and managing high quality relationships between the Ascent jurisdictions, and all the departments operated from Malaysia office in a manner consistent with the business’s objectives.
FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for:

- Develop a foundational understanding of the business model and strategy to provide required oversight support and challenge to enable appropriate and sustainable outcomes.
- Responsible for leading the local operations team, defining, and executing the strategy, business support and legal entity governance.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed.
- Lead a full spectrum of business in Centre of Excellence (Malaysia Office) for Ascent Group.
- Responsible for managing Profit and Loss of the Local office and providing reports to the Directors of the company.
- Collaborate with colleagues across APAC region to achieve business objectives.
- Work closely with and build strong collaborative relationship with all departments sales, marketing, client on-boarding, operations, and other functions with the Ascent group.
- Follow internal process and compliance requirements. Includes management reporting, attendance at internal meetings, assistance with onboarding as required, ensure agreed deliverables are met.
- Responsible for managing overall organizational resources within local office.
- Review and improve existing practices to simplify processes and enhance efficiency.
- Foster good working relations between staff to support productivity and efficiency in the company.
- Providing a strong leadership to the teams and ensuring the effectiveness of the operational and non-operational functions across the various business lines.

**; Requirements**:
- Degree/ post graduate degree holder in accounting/ business and other related business discipline.
- Experienced knowledge of Fund administration/ Fund Accounting, and capital markets would be an asset.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in sizeable business in the similar role preferable in financial industry.
- Possess valid passport and willing to travel in case the business need.
- Articulate with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Effective management and delegation.
- Visionary leadership abilities.
- Understanding of a multi-faceted business operation.
- Good Management skill, analytical mind, self-initiative and well organized.
- Good command in written and spoken English.
