Proposals Lead

Our Commercial Proposals teams are at the heart of our sales process for new and existing customers, helping us best position our services and clearly demonstrate the value we can provide, while making sure we have the right commercial arrangements in place. Our UK based team currently deliver all of our commercial proposals for the global business, and now as we grow our APAC presence we are keen to build a local proposals team in Kuala Lumpur, starting with the exciting new opportunity of Proposals Lead.

The Proposals Lead is responsible for the preparation of proposals, from concept through to presentation to the customer, ensuring that we deliver commercially robust and operationally sound propositions to both new and existing customers across the activpayroll portfolio.

**On a typical day, you'll be responsible for...**:

- Taking ownership of requests for proposals to ensure that opportunities are properly scoped, and manage all the resources required to make sure we deliver on time to the customer
- Leading on service improvement initiatives, helping us embed systems and processes and being an advocate for the business in using this effectively
- Using our internal pricing models, preparing cost estimates and rate schedules for potential and existing clients
- Acting as the focal point for distributing requests for information to internal stakeholders, managing the schedule and keeping contributors on track before collating and consolidating the inputs
- Leading on milestone proposal reviews, as well as having a razor sharp eye on formatting and standardising documentation

**Does this sound like you?**:

- A proven track record in proposals, tendering or pricing
- Ideally a background in a regional or global organisation dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent project, organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan for all activities and see projects through to completion
- Excellent professional English language skills - and as this is a global role, additional language skills would be really useful
- Great stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships effectively across the business and be a credible advocate for the team
- Experience in pricing, rate evaluation and great commercial insight
- You’ll be a zealous stickler for detail, particularly when it comes to all things grammar, formatting and language style
- Fantastic computer skills across the MS Office suite
- Great coordination skills, with the ability to influence and interact with both internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional 'people skills', supportive, influential and diplomatic, for working with a range of colleagues and customers
- Good business sense and a full understanding of commercial considerations
