Our reputable renewable energy client is looking for Strategy and Business Development Manager for their Specialty Chemicals Department.
**Job Scope**:
- Lead and manage the delivery of specialty chemicals business strategies, portfolio, business development and stewardship for company’s Specialty Chemicals Business to review the company’s performance
- Formulate specialty chemicals business strategic directions and critical initiatives and push its boundaries with new ventures/M&A and business opportunities in order to pursue growth and profitability whilst safeguarding and sustaining long term business
- Lead and manage pre-feasibility studies, detailed feasibility studies, cash flow analysis and pre-due diligence and due diligence studies to recommend portfolio decisions to company Management based on strategic fit, economic viability, and performance target to maximize its value creation
- Drive, lead and facilitate the sales excellence journey encompassing customer segmentation, diversifies offerings, pricing strategy, customer management and sales effectiveness to ensure optimum profitability, business sustainability and growth
- The areas of accountability within the Specialty Chemicals Business include strategy development and business planning, business development and portfolio management, M&A and post-merger integration, business and market intelligence, and marketing strategy for Specialty Chemicals Division and its acquired companies globally
**Qualifications / Knowledge**:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, chemistry, engineering, or related field of study
- Knowledge and experience in the specialty chemicals business is preferred
- At least 8-10 years of total experience in Strategy, M&A, Business Development, Portfolio Management and Strategic Marketing experience in the petrochemicals industry - preferably in the specialty chemicals industry (i.e. coating, personal care, adhesive)

- Good leadership qualities, good communication, problem solving, motivating skills combined with strategic thinking is critical to lead and manage the team towards success
- Strong organizational savvy, good business sense, technically proficient and commercial acumen
- Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholder groups

- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate “T-Shaped” skills (both breadth of knowledge and capability to dive deep into specialty chemicals business)
- Exhibit good leadership characteristics with excellent thinking and analytical skills
- Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
- Ability to operate in ambiguity
- Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills
- Ability to be self-directed, forward thinking and provide recommendation to make complex decisions that drive business performance
- Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel as an when required
