**Role: IT Asset Management Analyst (ITAM)** **Role Type**:Initial 12 months and Extendable Contract through Optimum Infosolutions - KL, Malaysia **Job Location**:KualaLumpur, Malaysia **PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**: - Support ITAM project implementation and collaborate with appointed consultant to establish ITAM framework and processes, design operating model, and its transition to operation. - Support all ITAM and CMDB activities that optimize the value, cost, and risk of IT asset life cycles. - Enhance methodologies and practices for IT asset life cycle management and CMDB in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement - Ensure that IT acquisition and disposal processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation. - Provide IT asset management and CMDB data to support preparation of business cases and project budgets to ensure that they comply with corporate policies, applicable standards, and legislation. - Administering and executing the configuration management process and to improve Configuration Item ("CI") data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources and relationships. - Support the implementation and managing production of IT asset life cycle management, CMDB and IT Asset Obsolescence status reporting, metrics, and benchmarks, while enforcing mitigation and remediation activity. - Assist in develop, maintain, processes and ITAM tools and CMDB with appropriate cross department collaboration and system integration of non ITAM sources necessary to identify and optimise current and emerging IT asset life cycle costs and risks to the organization. - Assist in the achievement of the department’s strategic objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and processes. - Provide support to ITAM initiatives by recommending alternatives, identification of emerging technologies and knowledge of ITAM activities - Support the ITAM and CMDB operation on a day-to-day basis ensuring the all the queries and requests has been actioned and responded to within the stipulated time. **QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE**: - Academic Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, IT, engineering, business management, legal or related fields. - Experience: At least 5 years hands on experience in IT asset life cycle management and configuration management. Proven experience in managing software vendor audit and ability to adapt to a highly regulated working environment is a plus. **Job Type**: Contract Contract length: 12 months **Salary**: RM3,398.20 - RM10,563.86 per month Schedule: - Monday to Friday
