Key Responsibilities
- Coaching and mentoring staff to ensure high quality of deliverables.
- Stakeholder management including liaising with Board members, Senior Management, regulators and auditors.
- Organise and attend the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) meetings and any other ad-hoc meetings for the Bank.
- Provide general corporate governance and secretarial advice and support relating to Board Risk Management Committee to Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.
- Acting as key liaison and channel for communication between various stakeholders including the Bank’s senior and middle management on matters pertaining to Board Risk Management Committee meetings.
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations including ensuring the proper conduct of BRMC meetings, preparation of agenda, recording of minutes, and follow-up on action points/matters arising thereof.
- Manage submission of papers to the Board Risk Management Committee and HLISB Board Audit and Risk Management Committee including the provision of general corporate governance and secretarial advice and reviewing of meeting materials and draft documents before submission.
- Manage submission of papers to the HLB Board and HLISB Board including the provision of general corporate governance and secretarial advice and reviewing of meeting materials and draft documents before submission.
- Coordinate the production of risk reports for management committee and board committee meetings including collating and reporting on global economic outlook data, reporting of key risk indicators and reporting on threshold excesses.
- Strengthen record keeping processes of BRMC papers, board reports and relevant administrative records.
- Formulate the company secretarial and risk management information for the Bank’s Annual Report.
- Review the terms of reference for the Board Risk Management Committee against corporate governance guidelines issued by BNM and BURSA.
- Delivers effective communication and manages relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank.
- Liaise and deliver on requests for materials and minutes of Board Risk Management Committee meetings to regulator / Group Internal Audit.
- Drive various initiatives, including review of governance-related sections of Board policies to promote alignment to the Bank’s overall objectives.
- Assist with the induction of new BRMC directors.
- Perform other related duties/ad hoc projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in law or ICSA qualified.
- Member of a locally/internally recognized risk management professional body is preferable.
- At least 5 years of working experience (with at least 2 years of experience in a Managerial role in banking, legal and/or governance, or equivalent).
- Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- A high degree of professionalism, and appreciation for confidential matters and discretion.
- Strong knowledge of risk management including BNM regulations, banking practices and procedures, corporate governance requirements.
- Proven leadership with strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders on Board committee decisions / requirements / requests.
