**Position Overview**
As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist supporting Southeast Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be an integral part of the APAC HR Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be administration of payroll operations and employee benefits for our Southeast Asia region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Singapore in particular), including payroll calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions, in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Partner with other APAC team members to serve as back up for other county payroll and benefits processes (Hong Kong in particular).
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and data integrity in the HRIS/payroll system, ensuring timely updates for new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits, providing timely and accurate responses, and resolving issues effectively.
- Administer employee benefits programs for the Southeast Asia region, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks, in collaboration with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with local HR teams and finance departments to reconcile benefits and payroll-related accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure seamless processing.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits practices in Southeast Asia countries, and implement necessary updates to payroll and benefits processes accordingly.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, analytics, and metrics for management review, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and compliance enhancements.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll and benefits processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls and best practices.
- Support HR initiatives and projects as assigned, contributing payroll and benefits expertise to cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

**Requirements** Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a multinational company or shared services environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday in particular), payroll systems (ADP and TriCor in particular), along with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

**Skills**
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in processing payroll and benefits data.
- Strong understanding of payroll and tax regulations, and benefits practices in Southeast Asia countries, with specific knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore regulations. Familiarity with Hong Kong’s regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required, proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
