Oracle Hospitality Cruise is a well-established software provider within the Cruise industry and is currently developing an exciting new Next-Generation software solution to enable our customers in the cruise industry to provide superior service and experience to their guests. Thus, we are seeking the BEST talent in the industry to join our talented team

This position is within the Oracle Hospitality Global Business Unit, specifically the Oracle Hospitality Cruise Product. Oracle Hospitality Cruise is an exciting industry with a wide range of products and customers. Our Cruise product provides cruise operators with tools to manage individual guests, groups, visitors, and the ship’s crew and staff. Our products also support financial transactions, payroll, comprehensive safety and security systems for guests and crew, onboard dining, centralized reporting, and 3rd party integrations, plus so much more.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders such as Sales, Account Management, and Solution Engineering while engaging customers to understand industry needs to develop solutions that address those needs.
- Define and document business, functional, and technical requirements for our solutions
- Participate in the execution of product roadmaps, collaborating with the rest of the organization in their development and ultimate acceptance in the market.
- Presenting in tradeshows and conduct product demos.
- Being the voice of your products throughout the company creating awareness and excitement throughout the life cycle from ideation to release.
- Engaging with current and prospective customers gaining insights on customer needs, and supporting as needed the sales of your products - be the voice of the customer within your products.
- Working closely with Development and Test in the definition and prioritization of the features for our products.
- Collaborating with Support and Implementation teams to ensure readiness for product launch.
- Travel up to 25% of the time; travel will include the U.S. and some international, to visit customers, our other company locations and tradeshows.

What you will need:

- 3-5 years experience in the cruise industry
- Experience with a Cruise Property Management System OR knowing the PMS functionalities in a development role.
- Experience with a solid aptitude for think strategically & execute methodically
- Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ownership to drive measurable business, product, and organizational performance
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to a functional area ideal and/or 4 years of software engineering or related experience welcomed but not required.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
