**Job Summary**
The Junior Chinese Chef is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Chinese cuisine under the supervision of senior chefs. This role supports kitchen operations, maintains hygiene and safety standards, and ensures consistency in food quality. The Junior Chinese Chef is expected to learn traditional techniques, develop culinary skills, and contribute to delivering excellent dining experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and plating of Chinese dishes under supervision.
- Handle ingredients properly, ensuring freshness and correct storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and service.
- Follow recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in controlling food waste and monitoring portion sizes.
- Learn and develop skills in Chinese cooking techniques and presentation.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
