**Job Title**:

- Manager, Quality Assurance (Safety & Investigation)

**Reports To**:

- Head, Quality Assurance

**Role Purpose**:

- Provide guidance and direction of MAB Airline Engineering's SMS, responsible to the Head Corporate Safety Oversight on safety management matters and ensure compliance to CAA Malaysia regulations and requirements.
- Perform, approve and evaluate investigation reports and action recommendations for MAB incidents/accidents in order to ensure compliance to CAA Malaysia and other foreign authority regulations and requirements.

**Key Accountability**:

- Develop, maintain and promote an effective SMS for Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).
- Monitor the operation of the SMS and to report to the Head Corporate Safety Oversight on the performance and effectiveness of the system.
- Monitor the reportable incidents for the necessary raising of the Mandatory Occurrence Reports for MAB depending on the aircraft type.
- Responsible for providing information, interact and advice to operational personnel, senior management and departmental head on matters relating to safe operations.
- To act as the focal point for dealings with the safety regulatory authority and acts as a proactive focal point for safety issues.
- Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessment activities.

**Qualifications & Working Experience**:

- CAAM Part-66 License or Company Approval (company issued CRS signatory) with 5 years of working experience in Supervisory level.
- Cat B or Cat C with 1 year of working experience in quality or audit environment. **Skills & Knowledge**:

- Analytical skill to identify hazards, mitigate and manage the risk.
- Investigation skills, interest in solving a situation which will impair the operations.
- Good communication skills that will involve engagements with MAB top management, Aviation Authorities and contractors.
- Good understanding in Malaysia Civil Aviation Regulations and CAA Malaysia Requirements.

**Key Challenges**:

- Comply with the CAAM CAD 6801, 6802 and 19 requirements on CAMO and SMS, keep abreast with the latest and up to date with MCAR regulations, CAD requirements, circulars, and to ensure compliance of these changes at each review.
- To be aware of all the latest operational issues regarding airlines and assure aircraft is airworthy and operated in a safest condition.
- To ensure proper response to Quality Deficiency Report.
- To prepare MAB E&M for investigations on incidences as required by authority.
- Prepare proposed actions to Safety Reports received.
