Procurement Manager

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1) Supplier Management**
- Supplier Selection and Relationship Building: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms, ensuring they meet quality standards and delivery requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess supplier performance, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with agreed terms and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers on tooling readiness, cost-planning, and material lead-time optimization.
**2) Procurement and Inventory Management**
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet manufacturing needs, including sourcing raw materials, components, and services.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. Implement inventory control measures to balance supply and demand. Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure proper documentation and traceability for all stored items.
- Purchase Orders: Oversee the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.
**3) Operation Support**
- Production Alignment: Collaborate with production teams to understand material requirements and align procurement activities with production schedules.
- Material Planning: Develop and execute material planning processes to ensure the availability of raw materials and components required for manufacturing.
- Internal Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments including production, quality control, and logistics to streamline processes and resolve any issues that arise.
**4) Cost Management and Optimization**
- Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the procurement, including supplier negotiations, process improvements, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the procurement budget, track expenditures and ensure cost-efficiency.
**5) Data Analysis and Reporting**
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement effectiveness, such as inventory turnover, and cost savings.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance and activities and supplier issues to senior management.
**6) Compliance and Risk Management**
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the procurement, such as supply disruptions which may affect production, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
**7) Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Team Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and other partners to address issues and provide updates.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- At least 3- 5 years of working experience with the last 2 years leading a team, preferably in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, supply chain management, forecast and planning, background or similar related industry.
- Strong leadership skills, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Must have the knowledge in ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
