**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to support our daily accounting and financial operations. This role involves managing accounts payable/receivable, performing financial reconciliations, assisting with compliance tasks, and supporting internal reporting and analysis.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR)**
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and update AR/AP ledgers.
- Match supporting documents for payment processing (e.g., supplier invoices, delivery orders, purchase/work orders) before approval and disbursement.
- Monitor customer credit status and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Create and verify credit notes for customer returns.
- Liaise with vendors and customers regarding financial matters.
**2. Daily Accounting Operations**
- Handle daily accounting tasks including data entry, invoice processing, and payments.
- Track daily sales and ensure proper bookkeeping of payments, including POS machine transactions and cash.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash reports, and other related financial documentation.
**3. Financial Reporting & Analysis**
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, including cash flow statements.
- Provide financial insights and monthly operational reports to management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by supplying relevant data and analysis.
**4. Compliance & Internal Controls**
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and relevant statutory regulations.
- Cross-check employees' monthly claims in accordance with the Employee Handbook and/or with prior approval from superiors.
**5. Other Duties**
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by management.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Xero Accounting System and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and a high level of integrity.
- Available to work on public holidays on a rotational basis.
- Able to work under pressure and deliver results on time.
- Position opens for Malaysians only, on-job-training will be provided.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
**Working Hours**:
- 5 days work, Monday to Friday
- 6am to 3pm (with a 1-hour break) - Supporting the Australia region
