**About the Role** - **Data Centre BO33kV cum Building Manager**
**Main Duties**
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Malaysian authorities, including Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), JKKP (Department of Occupational Safety and Health), KPDNKK (Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs), BOMBA (Fire and Rescue Department), and other relevant government bodies.
- Authority Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for all inspections, audits, certifications, and documentation required by regulatory agencies.
- High Voltage (HV) System Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of 33kV high-voltage systems, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations and best practices.
- Supervision of LV Operations: Manage and provide clear instructions to managed service providers and LV Charge Mans to ensure compliance with operational standards and timely resolution of issues.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for HV and LV systems to ensure the reliability of electrical infrastructure.
- Emergency Management: Lead incident response and recovery plans for electrical systems, including coordination with relevant authorities in case of emergencies.
- Energy Compliance and Optimization: Ensure that energy use adheres to regulations and optimize consumption to achieve cost-efficiency and sustainability targets.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of electrical systems, authority certifications, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols for all electrical operations and ensure compliance with JKKP and BOMBA guidelines.
- Building Systems Oversight: Manage and maintain other building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and security, ensuring operational excellence.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in regulations and ensure the facility's electrical and building operations remain compliant with new requirements.

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Certified BO 33kV Chargeman license issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience managing 33kV high-voltage systems in mission-critical environments, such as data centres or manufacturing facilities.
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks, including Suruhanjaya Tenaga, JKKP, KPDNKK, and BOMBA compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, including LV Chargemans and contractors.
- Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, building management systems (BMS), and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage authority inspections, certifications, and compliance documentation for Malaysian government agencies.
- Experience in managing vendor and contractor activities, ensuring adherence to scope of work, SLAs, and safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and infrastructure issues under pressure.
- Certification or training in occupational safety and health (e.g., JKKP certifications) and fire safety protocols (e.g., BOMBA standards).

**Type of Experience**:

- Oversee operations and maintenance of 33KV high-voltage electrical systems, ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
- Manage critical data centre infrastructure, including power systems, cooling, lighting, and backup generators.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, ensuring quick resolution and compliance with safety regulations.
- Handle budgeting, procurement, and inventory for facility operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource availability.
- Lead and train a technical team, ensuring effective facility management and adherence to industry best practices., sound judgment, and decision-making to address operational challenges effectively.
