**Job Summary**:
The Assistant Sales Manager will take ownership and be responsible for entire E-Commerce and commercial sales for TecD Malaysia. The role will need to interface with Customers on an on-going basis for maximizing revenue, margins and customer satisfaction. He/She also has to develop excellent relations with Customer and build the E-commerce database to cover long tail business opportunities and enhancing value-addition for TecD Malaysia E-Commerce.

**Principal Responsibilities**:
**Planning**
- Creates business plans for the assigned E-commerce team
- Establish priority and direction for assigned linecard within the product group nationally. Align Tech Data's Go To Market plan with suppliers's value proposition and KPI set for E-commerce business and to optimize sales and operating profits.
- Assessment of market conditions and discernment of opportunities for Tech Data products and services
- Aligns with Customers and relevant entities in the E-commerce/online business to increase sales effectiveness in E-commerce/online.
- Develops various sales programs for presentation to senior leadership management.
- Revenue and Margin growth for new and existing business customers in E-Commerce/online/IMP.
- Develops growth of the Tech Data's Customer community.

**Execution**
- Implementation of strategic sales initiatives, as agreed with the senior leadership management.
- Executes plan and achieve the assigned E-commerce and Commercial targets, working with the local sales team.
- Develops and maintains operational level relationships with customers.
- Provides leadership for day-to-day management of sales processes, proposals, forecasting, CRM updating, pipeline management, and Customer engagements.
- Ensures highest and continuous improving levels of customer satisfaction.
- Inventory planning in alignment with the Supplier and BU team.
- Achieves significant cross-selling and up-selling of products and services through effective team work with other Business Units.
- Builds relevant ecosystem with the help of the solution and services team, with the aim of scaling up business.
- Develops and executes strategic plans to achieve QoQ as well as YoY growth of this E-Commerce business.
- Builds high loyalty and long term business relationships with the assigned customers.

**Team Management**
- Provides clarity of organizational goals and job role of each team member.
- Provides on the job training and understands the entire sales cycle of Tech Data including internal and supplier processes to the team and facilitate issue resolution.
- Provides leadership with motivation and guidance to the team.
- Identifies the training needs of the team and continuously develops and improves their skills.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Business Acumen
- Must have ability to build and sustain relationships, drive and achieve business objectives
- Good understanding of selling products in E-commerce/online offerings and value proposition
- Increase the e-commerce database QoQ and YoY.
- Drives continuous improvement with innovation
- Demonstrates excellent people skills and interpersonal interactions
- Has good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Good Communication skills (Both written and oral)
- Practices a dynamic leadership style

**Experience**:

- University Degree or Equivalent
- Must have experience in handling respective product/solution/technology or any other competitive solution products
- Must have experience in IT sales and distribution
