JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
What you will do:
- To lead the product development and operations for specific OTT video products from Astro such as Astro Go.
- Develop go to product roadmaps and market strategy for products in collaboration with stakeholders from business, marketing and content divisions in Astro.
- Propose new features and enhancements that will improve the user experience and create new monetization opportunities for the organization.
- To work with the technology delivery team and external vendors to ensure features and capabilities meet stakeholder and customer expectations.
- Research and monitor trends of OTT products to ensure Astro is ahead of curve in the OTT video market space.
- Advocate and communicate the best product designs and technologies to adopt to stakeholders within the organization.
- Initiate and prioritize projects with the delivery teams, assist in determining the best technical implementation methods, track product development, and develop product launch plans.
- Create preliminary design concepts, and work with the product design and delivery teams to implement this.
- Be the primary interface with other business units for all matters related to the product, from developing investment papers to product launch plans.
- Lead in requirements analysis with stakeholders and translating their business objectives into product functional specifications.
- Lead in all internal and external technical documentation (i.e. product guidelines, manuals, FAQs, comms, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS:
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of information technology management, computer science, business management or communications
- 5 years of digital product development or software development experience
- Understanding of project management frameworks
- Good communication & presentation skills
- Creative, especially in problem-solving
- Experience with designing digital consumer products
- Experience with Agile / Scrum software developments
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter; able to push ahead with design projects and drive progress with little oversight.
- Natural tendency to seek and explore design and technology trends for interactive experiences.
