Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

This role is expected to design and implement data protection solutions and use cases for Maxis customers and business. The role should to engage with business to provide expert advice and drives various data protection projects along with information and cyber security control implementation initiatives within the organization. Make recommendations to improve maturity and capabilities of existing data protection tools. This role will also manage data security/ protection risks and mitigation including managing Maxis reputational or operational risks.

Why does this job exist and why is it critical?- Architect and design data protection capabilities such as Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Information Rights Management (IRM) solutions- Engage with partners to deliver data protection solutions-
- Define solutions objectives and requirements,-
- Build and demonstrate workable proof of concept-
- Drive the preparation of business justification and selection of partners-
- Drive overall delivery of the solution and change management-
- Engage with Business Information Security Officer (BISO) and relevant stakeholders to- Drive business collaboration and ensure the business is trained and aware of data protection processes and practices-
- Analyze data protection events to- engage data protection operations to finetune events to improve accuracy-
- provide expertise to management, business areas, and technology teams to implement appropriate data loss prevention security controls-
- Document the data protection solution designs and configurations

What do you need to have for this role?- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields- Qualifications in Data Security and related field such as certifications from IAPP (CIPP (A)/CIPM/CIPT), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).- At least 6-10 years’ experience in data security related field preferably in telecommunication and/or service related industry dealing with sensitive data and large customer base.- Understanding of technology components required to implement data security across Maxis.- In-depth understanding of data protection tools such as DLP, CASB, Microsoft AIP, DBFW etc.- Understanding of data protection capabilities in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure- Understanding of data security including protection laws, regulations, and best practices.- Familiarity with telecommunications and/or digital services industry and data-related processes.-
- Experience in data breach incident management, including managing, tracking, and reporting remediation.- Knowledge of project management to effectively lead and coordinate data security-related activities.- Experience understanding and implementing data security strategies, policies, process and technical controls (e.g. encryption, masking, tokenization), or legislative requirements.
