Pre-sales Consultant

We’re looking for a **client-facing pre-sales professional** who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and solution presentation. This role suits someone who is confident engaging directly with customers, enabling partners, and explaining technology in clear, practical terms — not just configuring it.
You’ll be based in Malaysia but support regional projects, occasionally travelling for key engagements. If you thrive on learning new technologies, presenting them persuasively, and working in a fast-moving cybersecurity environment, this role is for you.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as a **technical advisor** during pre-sales engagements for cybersecurity and infrastructure solutions
- Conduct **product demos**, **technical workshops**, and **proof-of-concept (POC)** sessions
- Present and explain solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Translate business needs into **tailored solution designs** using recognised cybersecurity frameworks
- Work closely with **partners (SI engineers)** to enable them on new technologies
- Support **RFPs/RFIs** and prepare technical documentation
- Stay updated with **cybersecurity trends** and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors to ensure solution success
**Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field
**Experience**:
- 2-3 years in **Pre-Sales**, **Solution Engineering**, or **Technical Consulting** (cybersecurity experience preferred)
- Strong track record in **client-facing engagements** and supporting complex sales cycles
- Exposure to **partner enablement** or channel/distributor environments is an advantage
**Technical Competencies**:
- Familiar with:
- Network Monitoring, Endpoint Protection, Cloud Security
- Asset Management, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Industry frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Capable of **designing and explaining** enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions
**Soft Skills**:
- Confident in presenting technology to diverse audiences
- Able to learn and self-study new products quickly for presentations
- Comfortable handling Q&A during presentations and POCs
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
**Work Arrangement**:
- Remote-first (Malaysia-based)
- Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm
- Occasional travel (2-4 times/year) for regional engagements
- Hired under Malaysian entity supporting regional operations
