Job Description:
- Oversee all culinary activities within the establishment, ensuring food quality, safety, and consistency.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Asian cuisine with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Responsible for food preparation, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Train and manage kitchen personnel, supervising their work flow and performance.
- Estimate food consumption, requisition or purchase food, and develop standard recipes.
- Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality and establish presentation techniques.
- Monitor cleanliness and safety of kitchen area and equipment, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Supervise special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrate techniques.
- Collaborate with management to develop cost control systems and manage the services budget.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a similar setting.
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
- Proficient in various types of cuisine with strong knowledge of food handling and kitchen operations.
- Experience in menu planning, food costing, and report writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Chinese-speaking individuals are given priority
