Team Leader, Security

**Resposibilities**:

- To assist Security Manager to manage the overall security related issues.
- Supervise and oversee security functions in an organization.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures and restraining trespassers.
- Train and schedule programs and functions to security guards with the assistance of Security Team Leader Evaluate, assess and analyze performance of security guards.
- Initiate disciplinary measures wherever necessary.
- Keep the premises free from all kinds of dangers.
- Maintain all security devices and products in good working condition.
- Develop and implement preventative measures against accidents, thefts and other risks.
- Ensure compliance of applicable policies and regulations while implementing security measures.
- Responsible for CCTV review and lost investigations.
- Monitor and supervise security assistant and supervisor on securing the warehouse.
- Monitor and identify any illegal activities.
- Adhere to all company policies and operating standards.
- To conduct serious and complex criminal investigations, plan and manage own workload, and retain responsibility as the officer-in-case.
- To complete comprehensive investigation reports and case files.
- Manage the complaints system to ensure that all complaints communicated are carefully handled and appropriate follow-up action is taken.
- Liaise with internal and external parties including local law and other enforcement authorities, as necessary to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the investigation process.
- Monitor and identify any illegal activities.
- Enforcement and implementation of security policies set by the company.
- To conduct ad hoc tasks when required.
- Managing and dealing with police reports if required.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reports to the Security Manager on a daily basis.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, present and unusual occurrences.
- Give feedback to Security Manager about incident/issues immediately.
- Assist Security Manager or Security Team Leader in any special project or ad hoc assignments.

**Requirements**:

- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Conceptual thinker.
- Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast paced environment.
- Comfortable managing grey areas.
- Competency in Computer knowledge such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint) or Google Drive (Docs, Sheets & Slides).
- Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel (not heavy).
- At least 5 years as a Security Officer or 2 year in Team Leader level or 1 year as Security Supervisor/Officer.
