We're hiring a rockstar Data Analyst to join our team here in Malaysia. Anytime a company needs to make important decisions, the Data Squad is there to form the rationale behind it. These professionals work with various teams within the company to establish priorities and manage expectations about the collection, review, and deployment of data, as well as provide projected impacts to the roll-out of business plans. Most DA experts have experience working with databases and statistical/visual tools and require strong agility to understand the business 360 degrees. As a Data Analyst, you have to understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, which can be better understood with data. Compile and analyze data related to business issues and develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data straightforwardly. **What will you be doing?** - Directly reports to Data Lead on business requirements and updates - Supporting the business in their analytical needs across departments and verticals - Monitoring KPIs of the business, identifying causes/trends and drive data-based decision-making through insightful reports - Collecting requirements for projects, reports, etc - Creating storyboards/ report via BI tools/ automation for dashboards, reports - Creating procedures regarding collecting, critically evaluating and screening data - Consult stakeholders on data methodologies and workings - Extending knowledge of Data Analytics to provide ongoing refinement of processes to improve operations What you need to be successful **Who are we looking for?** - 4-6 years of working experience in data analytics/ science, statistics, or a quantitative field - True number-cruncher and understanding of data, statistics, and mathematics - Fundamental understanding of e-commerce/e-marketplace - Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects in a self-structured and well-prioritized way - Driven, proactive, and self-motivated to be able to work with mínimal supervision - Strong interpersonal skills to communicate well with people from all backgrounds and departments - Willing to learn about new concepts and methodologies in this constantly evolving industry - Excellent data visualisation and storytelling - Solid understanding of SQL - Python knowledge is a plus - Strong comprehension of GCP and BI tools (Tableau, Datastudio) - Knowledgeable in data science and statistical modelling skills - Able to create, sustain/ maintain ETL pipelines/ APIs Who we are "To be the most loved everyday food and groceries destination" - that’s our mission at foodpanda. foodpanda (small 'f') is the largest food and grocery delivery platform in Asia, outside of China.
