Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

Role Overview

The Junior Business Analyst (BA) supports project teams in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to deliver effective business solutions. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about enhancing business processes through technology and data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Support creation and maintenance of process flow diagrams, user stories, and use cases.
  • Participate in workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data collection sessions to understand business needs.
  • Conduct preliminary data analysis and identify process gaps or improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure clarity of requirements and proper implementation.
  • Assist in preparing test cases, tracking defects, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation for review and approval.
  • Maintain requirement traceability matrices, documentation repositories, and project status logs.
  • Continuously learn and adopt best practices in business analysis and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships included) in business analysis, data analytics, project coordination, or system support.
  • Good understanding of business processes, data flow, and system interactions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology (an added advantage).
  • Team-oriented with eagerness to learn and take direction.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Good interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of business process mapping, requirement gathering, and system documentation.
  • Experience with tools such as:
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart / (for process flows)
  • Jira / Confluence / Trello (for Agile tracking)
  • Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile / Scrum concepts.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel).
  • Awareness of databases, APIs, or system integration concepts (added advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Business processes, data flow, and system interactions: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Business Analyst: 1 year (Preferred)
