The position lies within our Equities Stock Lending Operations specialising in Collateral under the Market & Securities Services Operation umbrella. The job holder is responsible to support the Securities Finance Front Office within a settlement’s role relating to collateral management covering global businesses. We are a global team covering multiple balance sheets for Stock Lending product under the Markets business. We are responsible for ensuring all equity stock loan trades booked flow through the various stages of the trade life cycle and collateralised successfully.

**The Opportunity**:
Responsible for managing post trade support activities such as Daily responsibility for collateral transaction processing, monitoring and aiding collateral settlement, account reconciliation, investigation and remediation of position/cash imbalances. The role holder will be working relevant shift hours i.e. HK/ UK/ Paris with a possibility for staggered work hours. There is no direct report for this role.

**What you’ll do**:

- Daily responsibility for collateral transaction processing, monitoring and aiding collateral settlement, account reconciliation, investigation and remediation of imbalances.
- Investigation and resolution of failing transactions.
- Responsible for Mark to Markets.
- Daily monitoring of exposure.
- Processing of wire payments.
- Review and resolve daily reconciliation breaks.
- Investigate and resolve collateral disputes, respond to client queries (internal & external).
- Timely and proper escalation to management or trading desk to protect the firm against risk exposure.
- Provide exceptional service and developing relationships with large institutional clients.
- Maintain and update procedures as necessary.
- Identify potential financial risk to the bank and ensure proper resolution is achieved within the bank’s guidelines.
- Ensure adequate support for effective management of Key Risk Indicator (KRIs), to minimise risk e.g. Nostro/Stock/inter-system breaks.
Requirements**What you will need to succeed in the role**:

- Conceptual understanding of Capital Markets.
- Strong understanding of Collateral, Stock Borrowing and Lending Operations.
- Must have knowledge of Tri-Party and Bi-Lateral Processes.
- Understanding of Markets Operations including Repo and Collateral Management is an added advantage.
- Has sound understanding and formal qualification of basic Operations Accounting principles.
- Able to demonstrate the mind set and maturity to operate in a fast paced environment.
- Awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.
- Ability to implement initiatives and work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients/stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to identify opportunities of process improvement.
- Follow formal escalation framework across all aspects of Operations i.e. operational and systemic related risks.
- Strong awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage local and international relationships across the organization.

**What additional skills will be good to have?**_ _**
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience would be recommended.
- Flexibility to work in required hours.
- A degree in Business or Finance would be preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple stakeholders.
- Able to work in a demanding and time sensitive environment.
- Hands on experience of operations processing is an advantage.
- Familiar working knowledge of associated technology.
- Must have knowledge of Knowledge of BNY Access Edge or Global One system is a plus.
- Ability to recognize unusual flows/triggers for collateral in agreements and new trade structures.
