Our Global Finance Controllership Team provides support for the business for technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.

Responsible for shaping technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.

As a Payroll Tax Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

- Reporting to GFO Payroll Accounting Manager and leading a team of Payroll Tax Analysts for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Regions
- Handling the monthly tax preparations, submissions and / or payments for specific countries by specified deadline dates
- Managing closing activities and ensuring completion of activities in accordance with set timeline and policy guidelines
- Preparing, documenting and keeping up to date process documentation for Payroll Tax Accounting activities
- Providing guidance and support to the team with regards to processes
- Documenting and communicating any abnormal tax expenses to Operations and Management
- Ensuring all Payroll Tax controls are adhered to and any process gaps are identified and addressed
- Reviewing and approving reconciliations for Payroll Tax accounts
- Implementing best practices in Global Finance Organization and standard processes which benchmark global best practices
- Working closely with External and Internal Auditors to assist in completion of audits
- Analyzing and providing explanation for Payroll Tax account variances and any debit balances or potential exposures

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CA.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ Payroll Tax Experience in any country and for any tax jurisdiction.
- Possess good analytical skills with proactive mind-set, with the ability to bring expert advice and problem solving skills to the team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with good spoken and written English.
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a diverse cultural team.
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, such as Oracle or SAP.
- Have experience in Shared Service will be added advantage.
- Experience in global mobility taxes advantageous
