Assistant Account Manager

_Job Scope / Responsibilities:_
**1. Financial Reporting**
- Responsible for the full set of accounts and month-end/year-end closing for multiple companies within the group.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
**2. Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
**3. Taxation & Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
**4. Group Restructuring & Process Stabilisation**
- Participate in group restructuring exercises, financial due diligence, and reorganisation plans.
- Support process standardisation and system improvements across different entities.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions to improve accuracy and productivity.
**5. Internal Controls & Policy Compliance**
- Implement and monitor internal controls and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across entities.
**6. Team Supervision**
- Guide and support junior accounting staff.
- Assist in onboarding, training, and performance development of team members.
- Requirements:_
- Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably in handling group accounting or multiple entities.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and taxation.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, or other relevant accounting softwares).
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Willing to travel outstation when required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
