**Responsibilities**:
The Tax Provision Analyst will assist primarily with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) tax accounting and reporting. Reporting will include analyzing differences between U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The position will report to the Tax Manager in the U.S. and will work closely with other members of the finance organization and the tax department in both the U.S. and Malaysia.

**Other Job Responsibilities**
- Preparation of U.S. GAAP tax provision, including current and deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions
- Preparation of tax accounting journal entries
- Preparation of tax reporting, including required reporting in both U.S. and Malaysia
- Assist with internal controls documentation and compliance
- Assist with maintenance of tax software
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Perform tax research and documentation
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of applicable tax laws
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of tax accounting/reporting pronouncements

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or the equivalent
- Additional professional qualification e.g. CTIM, ACCA, MIA will be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years tax experience in public accounting or industry, preferably with a large accounting firm or a large corporate tax department
- United States tax experience and knowledge will be an advantage
- Strong organizational and coordination skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills in English - both oral and written
- Strong proficiency in tax research tools
- Experience with SAP system is a plus
- Strong technology and computer skills
