Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate governance framework to ensure effective decision-making, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.
Collaborate with HODs to identify areas for process improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks, evaluate their impact, and develop strategies to minimise or eliminate them.
Establish and maintain an effective compliance program, ensuring that internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements are adhered to throughout the company.
Provide guidance and support to HODs in implementing compliance measures, including training programs, policy development, and monitoring activities.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with HODs to foster a culture of collaboration, open communication, and shared responsibility for governance, risk management, and compliance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, policies, and procedures, recommending enhancements or modifications as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in order to develop and implement relevant risk management and compliance strategies.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key governance, risk, and compliance metrics, issues, and recommendations.
Conduct internal audits, as necessary, to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, identifying areas of non-compliance and providing recommendations for improvement.

**; Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or any related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in governance, risk, and compliance (e.g., GRC, CCEP) are preferred.
6 to 8 years working experience.
Knowledge of internal audit practices and methodologies is a plus.
Proven experience in corporate governance, risk management, or compliance roles, preferably within the retail or hospitality industry or has experience with audit firms.
Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management methodologies, and compliance frameworks.
Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using governance, risk, and compliance software and tools.
