**Your Role as a **Test Manager**:
As a Software Test Manager you will be responsible for leading your delivery team, typically consisting of around 6 to 10 Software QA Engineers. You will lead the team in test strategizing, test planning, test cases design, test execution, establish or define quality and performance standards, and within delivery timelines. This is achieved through providing QA leadership and guidance, coaching and mentoring, and leading and motivating. You are also expected to spend 50% of your time as an individual contributor.
**A Day in the Life of a **Test Manager**:

- To lead a team of Software QA Engineers to scope, plan, design, write, maintain test cases and test execution:
- According to User Story and definition of done.
- Within established or defined quality standards.
- Within agreed upon delivery timelines.
- Line management of team members, including:
- Ensure adequate and correct test coverage
- Work allocation and progress monitoring, and to take corrective measures if necessary.
- Problem resolution and escalation.
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve peak productivity.
- Evaluate performance and make recommendations.
- Identify team members' training and development needs.
- Mastery of your respective functional areas.
- Take ownership of QA activities on assigned projects, follow through acceptance from the test scope analysis to acceptance of the test exit report.
- Lead in consultation with the team members in estimating effort for work assigned to the team.
- Identify and ensure required test environment and test data are prepared based on project requirements
- Work closely with the other Software Test Manager, Software QA Leads and Management to help set and implement overall QA team strategy, and to lead in initiatives that improve processes and/or procedures that contribute to performance effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Provide QA leadership and guidance for the projects your team works on, and liaising with the Scrum Masters, Development Team Managers, Software QA Leads, Development Leads and others to ensure successful delivery of the same.
- Communicate work progress and all (work related) pertinent information in an accurate and timely manner to the Management.
- Any other duties as assigned.

**What You'll Need**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in an agile software development environment and experience in a team leader position is a must.
- Experience in the following will be advantageous:

- Cloud-based software platforms i.e Google Cloud Platform, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Microservices and etc
- REST API testing tools i.e: Postman, SoapUI, Katalon Studio, Insomnia and etc
- UI automation scripting i.e Selenium, Ranorex and etc
- Load testing i.e: Jmeter
- Familiar with continuous integration practices and tools.
- Proven successful QA leadership of testing delivery.
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization skills - ability to handle a dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage one's own and others' time.
- Positive and professional approach at all times.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative and ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to empathize with the customer's viewpoint when testing software
